Job summary

Canopy Aerospace & Defense seeks a Director, Supply Chain to build and run procurement strategy across the platform. You will lead Procurement teams at each entity, drive cost savings, and mitigate supplier risk in a regulated manufacturing setting.

The role reports to the VP of Operations, is highly visible, and requires hands-on leadership to standardize a function across multiple sites while ensuring compliance with government contracting rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related field required.
• 8–12 years in procurement leadership, preferably in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience scaling procurement teams across multiple sites.
• Proficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel; strong sourcing results.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own procurement strategy and implementation across the platform.
• Lead and develop procurement teams at each operating company, standardizing function.
• Drive inventory cost savings through aggregated buying and supplier consolidation.
• Reduce supplier risk by identifying single/dual-source exposure and continuity plans.
• Standardize procurement configuration and processes within ERP system.
• Own and report KPIs to platform leadership.
• Partner with Planning and Production to ground decisions in aggregated demand.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, AS9100; negotiate contracts and terms.
