Job summary

Sky Limit Systems in the United States seeks a Supply Chain Director to own procurement, sourcing, and inventory strategy for a growing precision manufacturer. You will build and lead a high-performing purchasing organization and drive measurable cost savings across the business.

You will lead a team of ~9 buyers, including a Purchasing Manager, set clear KPIs, and partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 10+ years in progressive supply chain/procurement with 5+ years in leadership.
• APICS/ASCM CPSM or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the companys overall supply chain strategy.
• Lead and develop a team of buyers and a Purchasing Manager.
• Set KPIs and accountability standards for the purchasing org.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and PM.
• Build regional, national, and global sourcing strategy.
• Segment suppliers by strategic importance, risk, capability, and cost.
• Lead supplier negotiations and commercial strategy.

Are you a strategic, hands-on supply chain leader ready to own procurement, sourcing, and inventory strategy for a growing precision manufacturer? We're looking for a Supply Chain Director to build and lead a high-performing purchasing organization and drive measurable cost savings across the business.

What You'll Own

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the company's overall supply chain strategy in alignment with business, production, and financial goals
• Lead and develop a team of ~9 buyers, including a Purchasing Manager
• Set clear KPIs and accountability standards for the purchasing organization
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management
• Build a comprehensive regional, national, and global sourcing strategy
• Segment suppliers by strategic importance, risk, capability, and cost
• Identify, qualify, and develop new suppliers to strengthen competitiveness and supply continuity
• Lead high-stakes supplier negotiations and commercial strategy

Procurement & Cost Reduction

• Drive an annual cost-reduction strategy with measurable year-over-year savings
• Build should-cost models, price benchmarking, and TCO methodologies

Make/Buy & Inventory Strategy

• Own the make-vs-buy framework across components, assemblies, and services
• Develop inventory, stocking, reorder-point, and safety-stock strategies that balance working capital and material availability

ERP & Data Analytics

• Serve as the business owner for supply chain ERP functionality and data integrity
• Drive automation of manual purchasing processes

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or Engineering
• 10+ years of progressive supply chain/procurement experience, including 5+ years in leadership
• Proven track record of year-over-year procurement cost savings
• Strong ERP experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment (strongly preferred)
• APICS/ASCM, CPSM, or equivalent certification a plus
