Job summary

Platform Aerospace seeks a Director of Supply Chain to provide strategic leadership across Purchasing, Material Control, Supplier Development and Logistics for aerospace manufacturing. Lead supplier relationships, audits, and DFARS/ITAR compliance while aligning with business objectives and customer delivery commitments.

The role requires a hands-on leader with 10+ years in aerospace supply chain, strong negotiation skills, and experience with ERP/MRP systems like Deltek Costpoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive Supply Chain leadership in aerospace/defense or regulated manufacturing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience leading Purchasing, Material Control, Supplier Development, and Logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience supporting AS9100 certification, audits and corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and related regulations.
• Proven supplier negotiation, pricing, lead time and partnerships.
• Strong supplier relationship management and development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Purchasing, Material Control, Supplier Development, and Logistics.
• Drive supply chain performance via KPI management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure AS9100 compliance, procedures, and customer expectations.
• Lead corrective actions for audits and performance issues.
• Partner with Purchasing Manager on sourcing strategies and DFARS compliance.
• Support supplier negotiations and long-term agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness.
• Oversee inventory management supporting production and delivery commitments.
• Drive supplier development to improve quality and capacity.
• Manage ITAR/EAR regulatory compliance in shipping and logistics.
• Oversee domestic and international logistics, carriers, brokers, and compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement in logistics and risk mitigation.
