Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Supplier Technical Engineer responsible for managing purchased parts from concept (NPI) through the product life cycle with emphasis on quality management. You will liaise between internal teams and external suppliers, lead PPAP activities, and drive cost, quality and throughput improvements across programs.

This onsite role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and requires collaboration with engineering, NPI and aftermarket teams. Some travel may be required.

Formación

• Undergraduate degree in engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and shop operations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead resolution of quality problems with purchased materials and engineering issues.
• Manage concept drawings, supplier communication, design reviews and Windchill/BAAN tasks.
• Act as technical liaison between suppliers and internal customers across levels.
• Lead cross-functional Six Sigma projects; complexity increases at senior levels.
• Develop supplier quality metrics and distribute monthly measurements.
• Review supplier quality data and coordinate SARN/RN resolutions.
• Initiate root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Buyer and Development teams to improve cost, quality and throughput.
• Contribute to CPPD, NPI and CPI activities; ensure design to production and cost reduction goals.
• Lead PPAP and develop FAPITP with input from Design Engineering.
