You will manage quality, development, and validation of machining suppliers, and identify new suppliers using APQP and Collaborative Product and Process Development (CPPD). The Supplier Development Engineer leads problem-solving initiatives, supports source council deliverables, including capacity planning and data analysis, and implements countermeasures to strengthen supplier

Qualifications

• Understanding of effective communication concepts and techniques.
• Ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas clearly.
• Capability to present orally and write reports.
• Avoids technical jargon when inappropriate.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality of supplies by testing incoming materials and developing supplier inspection methods.
• Generates supplier quality reports and guides defect reduction.
• Researches potential vendors and conducts supplier quality audits.
• Supports suppliers with process improvements and QA plans.
