Job summary

Caterpillar Inc., based in Broken Arrow, OK, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer/STE to lead root cause analysis and resolve quality issues across supplier, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

The role focuses on developing supplier quality metrics, coordinating with engineering for NPIs and cost-reduction goals, and leading PPAP processes while guiding supplier tooling decisions. Domestic and international travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7 years with a Master’s Degree.
• Experience in a Supplier Quality or Engineering role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP software and proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Fluent in Business English in written and oral form.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Identify quality problems, lead root cause analysis, and implement resolutions in a cross-functional environment.
• Develop supplier quality metrics and report them monthly; identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with Engineering on NPI, product/process development, and cost reduction goals.
• Lead PPAP and develop inspection plans with cross-functional teams; guide supplier tooling purchases.
• Identify and onboard additional suppliers, support part design and qualification activities; facilitate early commercial discussions with suppliers.
