Job summary

Lyten, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in California to lead quality across the direct material supply base. You will own supplier nonconformance lifecycle, drive continuous improvement, and partner with sourcing, QA, and engineering teams to ensure conforming materials enter production.

Qualifications include a master's or bachelor’s in engineering or science, PPAP experience, and strong QMS knowledge. Domestic and international travel ~20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 1+ years of related experience or Bachelor's with 3+ years in engineering/science.
• Hands-on PPAP experience and supplier qualification in mass production.
• Strong PM and communication skills to align internal/external teams.
• Deep familiarity with QMS and tools such as 8D, SPC, FMEA.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~20%.

Responsibilities

• Run supplier quality performance tracking and data-driven escalation.
• Own lifecycle of supplier nonconformances: root cause, corrective actions, and containment.
• Coordinate supplier quality audits and maintain supplier scorecards.
• Identify systemic risks and drive continuous improvement across supply base.
• Establish IQC procedures for direct materials and acceptance standards.
• Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve direct material quality issues.
