Job summary

Garver in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Contract Procurement Manager to lead contract procurement activities across the firm, reviewing prime agreements and ensuring risk terms are properly flowed down into subconsultant agreements.

You will draft, negotiate, and manage subcontracts and master service agreements, supporting project managers and staff while ensuring compliance with Garver's policies and prime contracts. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least three years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of contracts and procurement fundamentals with risk awareness.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; confidentiality is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract procurement activities and staff.
• Review prime agreements and ensure proper flow-down into subcontracts.
• Draft, review, and revise subcontracts and master service agreements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Advise Project Managers on subcontracting requirements and procurement processes.
• Summarize contract requirements and communicate policies.
• Assist with prime agreement review compliance checks.
• Provide training and support for procurement staff.
• Negotiate subcontract terms aligned with prime agreements.
• Prepare and distribute documents for subcontracts.
• Maintain status reports for internal reporting.
• Support ad hoc projects within Procurement and Legal teams.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.
