Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is offering a fall 2026 Strategic Student Intern Program in Product Engineering Software (PES) focused on Designcenter CAD software. You will design, develop, modify, and implement software with emphasis on high quality and on-time delivery under supervision, while collaborating with senior engineers.

We seek undergraduates or first-year master's students in CS/CE with C++ skills, 3D CAD experience, and a drive to learn AI tools.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or first-year master's student.
C++ proficiency required; 3D CAD experience preferred.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Software development with AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

Product Engineering Software (PES)

As an intern in Product Engineering Software (PES), you will dive into developing our premiere Designcenter CAD software. You will have the opportunity to design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products, with focus on surpassing customers’ expectations by achieving high quality and on time delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanics. You will also create, document, and execute software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas. While you will work with general supervision on complex projects and have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers, it will also be important to act with independent judgment when necessary.
