Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a motivated UX professional to join a growing UX team. You will work with a global cross-functional team including UX engineers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to improve design across PLM software.

The role emphasizes user research, rapid prototyping, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. A design portfolio is required and flexible work options are available.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Human Factors, HCI, Psychology, CS, Visual Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design grounded in HCI, visual or industrial design.
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and contribute to a variety of UX tasks.
  • Self-driven, collaborative and able to communicate ideas to cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with interactive prototyping tools; Axure highly desired.
  • Experience with visual design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience sketching interfaces and creating wireframes, sitemaps, and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of web interfaces, mobile design, usability, and accessibility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience applying Lean or Agile UX techniques and user research methods.
  • A design portfolio demonstrating UX and design principles is required.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data from issue-tracking systems and customer feedback.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze customer surveys related to product quality and UX.
  • Analyze and compare software versions to measure UX improvements.

We are seeking a motivated and creative individual with a passion for user experience (UX). This role is an excellent opportunity to join a growing UX team and contribute to Siemens digital software products. You will work with a global, cross-functional team that includes UX engineers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate design rationale effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization.
  • Gather and analyze data from internal issue-tracking systems and customer feedback channels.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze customer surveys related to product quality and user satisfaction.
  • Analyze and compare software versions to measure UX improvements over time.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate concepts and support stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage projects with tight timelines through completion and provide regular status updates to the management team.
Minimum Requirements
  • Recent graduate with 0–2 years of experience and a BS or MS in Human Factors, HCI, Psychology, Computer Science, Visual Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design, grounded in HCI, visual design, or industrial design principles.
  • Willingness to “wear multiple hats” and contribute to a variety of UX-related tasks in a team environment.
  • Self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable communicating design ideas to cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with interactive prototyping tools; experience with Axure is highly desired.
  • Experience with industry-standard visual design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience sketching interfaces and creating wireframes, sitemaps, and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of web interfaces, mobile design considerations, usability, and accessibility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with front-end web development concepts, including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience applying Lean or Agile UX techniques, including rapid iterative design, to translate user requirements into user stories.
  • Experience applying user research and evaluation methods, including interviews, surveys, heuristic evaluations, usability testing, and related approaches.
  • Technical background is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A design portfolio that demonstrates solid knowledge of UX and design principles is required.
