Job summary

The YMCA of the USA is seeking a Director of Statewide Growth & Partnerships to expand access to YMCA programs across Kansas, including rural and underserved communities. This externally focused, entrepreneurial role will drive growth through YMCA360, partnerships, sponsorships, and philanthropy, averaging about 50 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit leadership, community development, public administration, economic development or closely related field.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in partnership development, organizational growth, or new program implementation.
• Proven ability to cultivate external relationships across communities, funders, corporations, or public-sector partners.
• Strong business development, public presentation, negotiation, facilitation, and project execution skills.
• Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and scale strategic ideas from concept to pilots to scalable implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a statewide growth strategy for rural and underserved Kansas communities leveraging YMCA360 and local partnerships.
• Forge trusted alliances with local leaders, schools, healthcare systems, employers, and municipalities.
• Cultivate relationships with foundations, sponsors, and government entities to secure grants and blended revenue models.
• Pilot and scale non-traditional delivery models while preserving YMCA quality standards.
• Establish KPIs for statewide reach and program adoption, reporting to executives and the Board.
