YMCA of the USA is seeking a Director, Thriving Ys to strengthen and grow the movement by delivering specialized support to Alliances and local YMCAs through training, resources, and consulting on collaborations, shared services, and mergers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience with strong managerial capabilities.
• Expert functional skills and advanced industry knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple teams or functions with minimal supervision.
• Strategic and operational decision-making authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized consulting for operational improvement across Ys.
• Lead projects with partners and local YMCAs in development and execution of plans.
• Deliver education and consulting on strategic collaborations with Alliances.
• Mediate service-area disputes between member associations and YMCAs.
• Support new YMCA corporate and branch development initiatives.
• Support leadership transitions by training interim CEO candidates.
• Maintain Knowledge platform resources and engagement tools.
• Stay updated on developments in related services and share insights.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned topic area on Y-USA knowledge platform.
