Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a seasoned leader to drive stakeholder engagement for major infrastructure programs in California. You will guide communications, manage communities, officials, and project teams, translating technical details into clear narratives and guiding engagement decisions.

You will craft outreach strategies, lead meetings, and provide strategic recommendations, balancing public concerns with project goals while traveling as needed for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Journalism, Project Management, Urban Planning, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, communications, government relations, or community outreach.
• Minimum of 8 years supporting infrastructure, construction, transportation, or other capital projects.
• Minimum of 5 years writing proposals, bids, grant applications, or other persuasive business documents.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% or depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day stakeholder engagement and communications programs for large-scale infrastructure and capital projects.
• Advise public agency clients, project teams, and contractors on communications and engagement.
• Develop outreach strategies to foster understanding and maintain positive community relations.
• Prepare clear, accessible materials and executive messaging translating complex technical information.
• Manage public meetings, events, inquiries, and issue resolution to support project objectives.
