Job summary

Fermi America is building Project Matador, a 17GW private power and AI infrastructure campus in the Texas Panhandle. The Procurement Specialist will manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing for indirect goods and services, ensuring compliance with policy and driving cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

The role balances tactical purchasing with category thinking, overseeing full sourcing cycles from requisition to contract close-out and collaborating with Finance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Working knowledge of sourcing and negotiation fundamentals.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems (Oracle, SAP, Coupa or similar).
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with spend data and basic reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple category workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Manage requisition-to-PO process for assigned categories with accuracy and approvals.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers via RFQs/RFPs; negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
• Maintain vendor relationships and monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Identify cost-savings opportunities within spend categories.
• Track open POs and expedite orders to avoid delays.
