Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Supply Chain or related discipline.
• Minimum 2+ years in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• Experience with supply chain concepts/methodologies in manufacturing.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; able to lead projects.
• Able to prioritize resources to meet goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; build strong relationships.
• Flexible to work extended hours to support business.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and manages new suppliers, develops bid evaluations, cost analyses, price justification, and risk assessment of suppliers.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and contract execution.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop and manage continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service as well as price.
• Supports New Product Development programs working closely with the Engineering and Quality teams.
• Develop risk management and supplier backup contingency programs.
• Ensure 80% of direct spend is covered by long term agreements (LTA) and year over year cost savings are achieved.
• Create a competitive & simplified supplier portfolio through supplier reduction and supplier risk mitigation.
• Continuously increase payment terms and shorten lead times to support cash flow optimization.
• Coordinates and participates in supplier meetings.
• Willingness to travel 25-30%.
• All other duties as assigned
