Job summary

Pets + People in New York is seeking a Sourcing Manager to drive sourcing strategies and initiatives, collaborating with the Director of Sourcing and another Sourcing Manager to hit financial goals and streamline processes.

You will manage vendor relationships, analyze data for informed decisions, support new product launches, and oversee timelines, costings, and supplier scorecards in a hybrid 3-day-office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of working experience.
• Experience in Sourcing, Product Management or Operations in a Consumer Products wholesale/import environment.
• Experience in Project Management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong data analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with cross-functional partners and suppliers.
• Develop an intimate understanding of the business through data collection to drive data-based decisions.
• Execute sourcing initiatives in support of department priorities.
• Provide innovative and strategic solutions to sourcing challenges such as tariffs and the ever-changing trade environment.
• Maintain Supplier Matrix & Vendor Scorecards.
• Track and follow up on sample development, costing, and timeline status, proactively flagging instances requiring attention.
• Plan sourcing initiatives as they relate to new product launches & launch calendars.
• Manage special projects as needed.
