Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks a procurement professional to lead contracts and strategic sourcing within healthcare. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate with architects, engineers and hospitals on owner-furnished equipment.

You will drive data-driven procurement, ensure timely contract execution, and optimize performance across clinical and non-clinical spend. A strong background in healthcare procurement is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading projects in a collaborative team environment.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain contracting or strategic sourcing.
• Experience in GPO programs and processes within healthcare.

Job Description:

Responsible for the development of system contracts and the enhancement of GPO contracts. This includes identifying needs, researching categories, completing RFPs, collecting and analyzing data, participating in vendor discussions and negotiations, and developing contracts. This role interacts with internal and external customers to facilitate end-user satisfaction and ensure outstanding supplier performance.

• Develops, leads, and executes sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes.
• Crafts negotiation strategies and closes contracts with optimal terms to benefit the organization.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all product and service needs and industry developments related to assigned spend categories.
• Establishes and manages category projects involving key stakeholders and suppliers, through discovery, analysis, negotiation, and finalization of contracts.
• Builds effective working relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Manages supplier relationships and performance, resolving issues and updating contracts as necessary.
• Coordinates activities related to building and managing owner-furnished equipment with architects, engineers, contracting teams, and hospitals.
• Ensures accurate and timely entry of received goods into the system and maintains organized records.
• Manages the supply replenishment process, including straightening, counting, picking, and stocking supplies for specific areas.
• Provides detailed reports to the manager aiding in the internal billing process. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes and methodologies. [Required]
• Demonstrated knowledge of contract structures, terms, conditions, risk mitigation, and experience executing/drafting business requirements and key performance indicators in contracts. [Required]
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. [Required]
• Proven expertise in project management and facilitating teams. [Required]
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. [Required]
• Thorough knowledge of suppliers, products, services, and equipment used in the healthcare sector. [Preferred]

Education:

• Bachelor's [Required]
• Master's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in leading projects in a collaborative team environment [Required]
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare [Preferred]
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain contracting or strategic sourcing [Required]
• Experience in GPO programs and processes within healthcare [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) [Preferred]
