Job summary

Hines is seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for a major commercial portfolio in the New York area. You will drive sourcing strategies, manage complex procurement events, and advise senior stakeholders on contract choices.

The role requires strategic judgment, leadership, and strong negotiation skills with experience across facilities, engineering, and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Seven+ years of progressively responsible experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, property/ facilities management, finance, contract administration, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and negotiating high-value service agreements.
• Experience with supplier compliance and risk-management platforms (e.g., Achilles, GRMS) preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder-influencing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for operational services, engineering, and capital projects across a major commercial office portfolio.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with portfolio priorities and financial objectives.
• Manage competitive procurement events: RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, contract renewals, supplier transitions, bid-waiver evaluations.
• Partner with multiple internal teams and client stakeholders to define requirements and sourcing priorities.
• Analyze supplier spend, market conditions, and contract expirations to identify savings and risk reduction.
• Draft comprehensive bid documentation and lead supplier meetings, site visits, and negotiations.
• Prepare executive-level award recommendations and present sourcing analyses for approval.
• Coordinate with Contract Administration and Legal to translate outcomes into enforceable agreements.
• Identify risks and mitigate through supplier due diligence and governance routines.
