Job summary

Hines is seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead end-to-end procurement activities for a major commercial office portfolio in the United States. The role involves developing sourcing strategies, running complex procurement events, and advising senior stakeholders on procurement decisions.

The successful candidate will drive supplier performance, manage risk, and partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations to deliver cost savings and value across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in strategic sourcing or related disciplines.
• Experience independently leading complex sourcing initiatives and negotiating high‑value service agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for operational services, engineering requirements, and capital projects across a major commercial office portfolio.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with portfolio priorities, operational requirements, financial objectives, and client expectations.
• Manage complex competitive procurement events, including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, contract renewals, supplier transitions, and bid‑waiver evaluations.
• Partner with multiple internal teams to define requirements and sourcing priorities.
• Analyze supplier spend, market conditions, contract expirations, service requirements, and supplier concentration to identify savings and risk reductions.
• Establish sourcing schedules, milestones, responsibilities, and approvals to ensure timely initiatives.
• Draft and review contracts, amendments, statements of work, exhibits, pricing schedules, and other documentation.
• Lead supplier meetings, site visits, bidder conferences, clarification sessions, interviews, and final presentations.
• Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and risk allocation.
• Present formal sourcing recommendations to senior stakeholders for approval.
• Coordinate with Contract Administration and Legal to translate outcomes into enforceable agreements.
• Identify contractual, operational, financial, and supplier risks and mitigate accordingly.
• Oversee supplier due diligence and onboarding platforms like Achilles and GRMS.
