Job summary

WD is seeking a Sr. Manager of Strategic Sourcing, MRO, to lead a team of sourcing professionals and shape the MRO strategy. You will drive RFPs, negotiate master agreements, and collaborate with Operations and Legal to optimize value across the supply base.

The role requires 10+ years in indirect strategic sourcing, with MRO emphasis, and strong ERP experience (SAP/Oracle). A bachelor’s degree is required, MBA/JD preferred. This is a senior, on-site California role with global impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in indirect strategic sourcing with a multi-national organization with emphasis in MRO.
• MBA or JD preferred.
• Extensive experience leading sourcing initiatives (rapid sourcing, targeted negotiations, complex category strategies, supplier relationship management, outsourcing).
• Contract Negotiation / Vendor Mgmt. / Influencing skills required.
• Experience and expertise with sourcing & contracting ERP tools (SAP and/or Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, develop and lead a team of sourcing professionals for the MRO commodity.
• Develops and support the vision, strategy and execution plan for the MRO Sourcing function.
• Conduct RFPs and lead cross-functional teams through supplier selection with scoring criteria.
• Collaborate with Operations/Legal to prioritize business needs and optimize value.
• Analyze spend/contract/proposals and present recommendations to leadership.
• Lead negotiations on Master Agreements, SOWs, and Change Orders balancing deliverables and pricing.
• Analyze total costs, perform ROI analysis, and benchmark prices.
• Research market intelligence to understand cost drivers and trends.
