Job summary

Rea-Magnet-Wire is seeking a Mgr Strategic Sourcing to lead enterprise sourcing strategies for copper, metals, insulation, packaging, and logistics. You will collaborate with Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Legal to drive cost competitiveness and supply continuity.

The role requires 10+ years in strategic sourcing within manufacturing, with strong negotiation, analytics, and cross-functional leadership skills. On-site, Fort Wayne location with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, commodity management, or category management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing direct materials and services for industrial manufacturing; metals, copper, aluminum, wire, chemicals, coatings, insulation systems, packaging, logistics or MRO experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated cost savings, cost avoidance, and supplier performance improvements.
• Advanced analytical skills: spend analysis, cost modeling, supplier risk assessment, forecasting, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and plant requirements.
• Lead sourcing strategy for direct and indirect spend categories, including metals, insulation systems, packaging, MRO, logistics, and services.
• Monitor markets, supplier capacity, tariffs, and trends to anticipate cost changes and risks.
• Lead RFx events, supplier evaluations, bid analysis, and contract negotiations for high-value categories.
• Collaborate with Finance to analyze spend, validate savings, and report sourcing performance to senior leadership.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships with regular business reviews and scorecards.
