Fort Recovery Industries, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Manager to source raw metal, tooling, packaging, and MRO with discipline for cost, quality, and timeliness.

You will monitor commodity markets, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with production, quality, and engineering so future programs launch without material surprises. This role requires 5+ years of purchasing in manufacturing, strong negotiation skills, ERP proficiency, and the ability to read material specs and drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing (die casting, metal fabrication is a plus).
• Ability to read material specs and drawings, not just PO lines.
• Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms and tracking market moves.

Responsibilities

• Build and run purchasing strategies for zinc, aluminum, and other raw materials, balancing cost, quality, and supply risk.
• Find, qualify, and manage suppliers for raw metal, tooling, packaging, and MRO.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor market movements to avoid surprises in cost and delivery.
• Work with production, quality, and engineering to ensure specifications match the process.
• Hold suppliers accountable for on‑time delivery and quality; drive cost reductions without hurting quality or delivery.
• Lead RFQs, onboarding of new suppliers, and sourcing for new programs and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with company policy, customer requirements, and material certifications.
