Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC seeks a Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager for Temporary Labor & Talent Acquisition Services. This contract role focuses on leading MSP, staffing, and recruitment-service strategies across multiple geographies, with a strong emphasis on risk and supplier governance.

The role partners with HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, and Operations to drive cost savings, process improvements, and scalable workforce solutions. W2, hybrid work arrangement in Boston area.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
7–10 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category-management.
Experience with contingent labor, MSP programs, recruitment services, or related workforce solutions.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex negotiations.
Knowledge of ERP, e-sourcing, BI, and reporting tools; exposure to VMS.

Responsibilities

Lead category management for Temporary Labor and Talent Acquisition Services, MSPs, staffing suppliers, RPO, and related solutions.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies across geographies and spend areas.
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives: requirements, RFx, supplier eval, negotiations, contract execution.
Conduct market research, benchmarking, pricing analyses, and supplier assessments.
