Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director of Strategic Sourcing for CGT Raw Materials at its Boston HQ. Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 remote weekly.

Lead supplier strategy, negotiate contracts, and manage risk with cross‑functional partners across Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain. The role requires deep CGT materials knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to influence Sr.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in strategic sourcing within biopharma CGT supply area.
• Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or certs are a plus.
• Experience negotiating contracts and driving cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to develop CGT raw material strategies.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Perform market analysis and due diligence for suppliers.
• Lead risk mitigation and continuity planning for supply.
• Drive continuous improvement and data-driven sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate across Regulatory, Quality, Finance and Legal.
