Job summary

Target is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead in the United States. You will independently lead sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations, driving cross-functional initiatives to optimize value. You will build TCO models, collaborate with legal and finance, and guide teams through complex sourcing projects.

You’ll manage a book of business with accountability for strategy, execution, and results, while mentoring peers and delivering measurable savings in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or business operations.
• Proven ability to independently lead sourcing strategies and negotiations.
• Strong influence with stakeholders in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
• Experience coordinating with legal, finance, and supplier partners on agreements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with executive storytelling ability.
• Familiarity with procurement platforms such as SAP, Ariba, or Coupa.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute sourcing strategies for a growing book of business across categories.
• Lead cross-functional teams through project scoping, RFPs, supplier evaluation, and decisions.
• Negotiate with suppliers and model scenarios using TCO frameworks and risk analysis.
• Communicate strategy and recommendations using data-driven visuals and storytelling.
• Mentor peers, track value delivery, and align terms with business goals.
• Collaborate with legal to ensure contracts meet corporate objectives.
