Job summary

SpaceX in Austin, TX is seeking a Sourcing Manager to own end-to-end sourcing strategy for balance of plant equipment for power plants, including permanent and temporary installations.

You will partner with power systems engineers to define commodity roadmaps, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, quality, and delivery performance to support SpaceXAI build schedules. You will travel domestically and internationally as needed and ensure ITAR compliance for critical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in lieu of degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering.
• 3+ years in global supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or commodity management.
• Technical understanding of power plant balance of plant equipment including transformers, switchgear, heat recovery, cooling systems, and electrical distribution.
• Experience in energy infrastructure, EPC, or industrial equipment procurement.

Responsibilities

• Define commodity strategy and multi-year roadmaps with power systems engineers.
• Source equipment for permanent and temporary power plants and related components.
• Own supplier qualification, multi-sourcing, and performance management to meet timelines.
• Negotiate agreements for pricing, volume commitments, and reliable delivery.
• Monitor risks and implement mitigation to protect build schedules.
• Drive cost reduction through should-cost analysis and long-term agreements.
• Build strong supplier relationships and report KPIs to leadership.
