Job summary

Lhoist North America in Calera, AL is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist to support the Sourcing Manager across US categories.

You will drive local sourcing strategy, manage spot buys, and collaborate with manufacturing, technical, and finance teams to deliver value. The role requires 2–4 years of sourcing experience (5+ preferred in heavy industrial/mining), strong Excel/ERP skills (SAP/BW), and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a BS in related field is desired.
• Preferred: BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years sourcing experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing or mining environments.
• Five (5) plus years sourcing experience in heavy manufacturing or mining environments (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Execute spot buy processes and align with local management on sourcing strategy.
• Lead cross-functional teams for supplier selection and qualification.
• Identify TCO reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and service.
• Negotiate and implement contracts; track performance per procurement guidelines.
• Support procure-to-pay processes and ensure supplier performance and compliance.
