Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in materials sourcing, familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems, and the ability to read engineering prints.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a materials role involving sourcing activities for a manufacturing operation.
• Strong ERP systems experience; SAP a big plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and drawings would be a plus but not required.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Familiarity with quality systems, processes, and requirements.
• Demonstrated negotiation experience.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Research and identify potential suppliers globally and locally based on technical requirements and company needs.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
• Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards and analyze cost structures and market trends.
• Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand technical specifications and ensure supplier compliance.
• Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure sourced materials meet industry standards and company policies.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements in sourcing operations.
