Job summary

Headboards World, a custom upholstered furniture manufacturer serving designers and trade clients in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage sourcing across production materials, fabric, wood, and hardware. The role ensures materials flow on schedule and maintains vendor relationships.

You will work on-site with the production team, negotiate pricing, track orders, and identify cost-saving opportunities as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Ability to manage multiple vendor categories and plan reorder points.
• Some experience with vendor negotiation or account setup is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic comfort with spreadsheets; ERP experience a plus.
• On-site collaboration with production team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock levels for core materials to avoid shortages.
• Manage vendor relationships across fabric, wood, hardware, and supplies.
• Negotiate pricing and terms to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
• Track purchases, shipments, and invoice accuracy.
• Confirm lead times before production dates.
• Communicate needs with manufacturing leadership.
• Coordinate COM materials for specific production orders.
• Keep purchasing records organized and up-to-date.
