Job summary

Woodward is seeking senior-level supply chain professionals to develop and support complex sourcing strategies and manage supplier lifecycles. You will lead ASL creation, drive global sourcing decisions, and ensure production readiness for launches while reducing costs through Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.

The role requires strong communication with management and suppliers, plus expertise in APQP/PPAP and Power BI analytics. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing quality systems and supplier management is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support supply chain and sourcing strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Act as a technical specialist within product categories and lead ASL creation.
• Discover and evaluate new suppliers and technologies to meet category needs.
• Define and drive source selection decisions aligned with global strategies.
• Manage supplier lifecycle from discovery through onboarding and ensure quality compliance.
• Support production readiness for new product launches and cost-reductions through VAVE.
• Lead supplier improvement activities using Six Sigma and Lean methods.
• Deploy quality tools (8D, PFMEA, SPC, Gage R&R) and oversee APQP processes.
• Mentor SQEs, SDEs, and CQEs on complex problems.
• Level II also covers complex supply chain strategies and product roadmaps.
• Lead escalation on supplier development and quality issues.
