Job summary

Woodward seeks a skilled Level I/II supply chain professional to lead sourcing strategies, supplier discovery, and lifecycle management. You will drive cost reductions using VAVE, lean principles, and Six Sigma tools while ensuring quality standards across global supplier networks.

You will collaborate on product roadmaps, support production readiness, and mentor teams in APQP/PPAP processes. A strong data mindset and Power BI proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience for Level I.
• 8+ years of relevant experience for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support supply chain and sourcing strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Act as a technical specialist within product categories and lead creation of an Approved Supplier List (ASL).
• Discover and evaluate new suppliers and technologies to meet category needs and address gaps.
• Define and drive source selection decisions in alignment with global strategies.
• Manage supplier lifecycle from discovery to onboarding ensuring quality and specifications.
• Support production readiness for new product launches and part transitions; execute cost reductions through VAVE.
• Drive supplier improvement using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing; deploy 8D, PFMEA, SPC, and Gage R&R.
• Verify supplier APQP processes and minimize launch issues; mentor SQEs, SDEs, CQEs.
• Lead development plans with suppliers and coach teams.
