Job summary

TICO Manufacturing in Ridgeland, SC seeks a Sourcing Specialist to independently manage sourcing projects, identify competitive suppliers, and improve cost, quality, and delivery. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, Operations, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Experience with supplier negotiations and cost-reduction initiatives required.
• Manufacturing or automotive/industrial sourcing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new suppliers meeting quality, cost, delivery, and technical needs.
• Lead sourcing projects focused on cost reduction and supplier development.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to identify materials for alternative sourcing.
• Conduct supplier comparisons on pricing, quality, capacity, and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers within authority.
• Develop supplier recommendations and present alternatives to management.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality to qualify materials and suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier samples, first articles, testing, and validation.
• Support supplier transitions and new source implementation.
• Identify and track cost-reduction opportunities.
• Conduct market research and monitor supplier trends.
• Maintain relationships with current and prospective suppliers.
• Assist with supplier performance reviews and corrective actions.
• Provide knowledge sharing to Sourcing Specialist 1 employees.
• May lead cross-functional sourcing projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
