Job summary

Sonaca North America seeks a Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing for aerospace components and services. You will identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive cost reduction while ensuring supplier quality and on-time delivery.

This role requires cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and finance teams. The successful candidate will manage LTAs, monitor market conditions, and develop inventory strategies to support a robust supply base for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a supply chain or procurement function.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills with suppliers and internal customers.
• Excellent communication skills; experience giving presentations to upper management.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal customers including COE Leaders; evaluate and recommend vendors.
• Manage ongoing relationships with suppliers and input to strategic decisions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a commodity inventory strategy; monitor market conditions.
• Lead cost-reduction projects and establish a cost-effective, reliable supply base.
• Source all components/materials within your commodity categories per company policies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams supporting new products, cost reductions, or process improvements.
