Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Procurement professional in Chicago to lead sourcing for Business Applications, manage RFx processes, and negotiate technology contracts. The role focuses on indirect IT categories, regulatory compliance, and efficient contract administration.

You will work with Coupa and ERP systems, analyzing data, and collaborating with partners to optimize supplier relations and drive cost savings. A strong background in procurement and supply chain is required.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing for indirect categories (e.g. IT).
• Strong analytical, sourcing, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suites with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP system/ Peoplesoft.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategy and perform category analytics within the Business Applications category.
• Lead RFx processes including project management, development, negotiations and awards.
• Review technology contracts and lead price negotiations and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes and procedures.
• Support non-traditional 3rd party supplier relationships through due diligence.
• Report procurement performance metrics and assist supplier deal reviews.
• Manage regulatory/compliance requirements (OFAC, FCPA, spend analysis).
• Maintain relationships with key partners and train on policies and guidelines.
• Utilize Coupa ERP and maintain Contract Management System with final agreements.
• Collaborate with business to implement strategy and improve processes.
• Serve as technical expert in Technology Software and Banking/Treasury platforms.
