Job summary

Manpower is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Buyer in Burlington, WA to lead supplier onboarding, negotiations, and category strategies for complex sourcing initiatives. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, and Supply Chain to deliver cost savings and successful product launches.

The role requires 5-10+ years in strategic sourcing, strong supplier management, and experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

5-10+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience.
Deep category management and sourcing expertise.
Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
Strong commercial, contractual, and supplier management experience.
Ability to lead cross-functional sourcing efforts and mentor less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers that meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Lead sourcing events including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, terms, and contracts.
Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Product Development, Production, and Materials teams on new product introductions.
Manage Bills of Material (BOMs) and support sourcing activities for new product launches.
Analyze supplier performance, lead times, costs, and procurement data to drive business decisions.
Support supplier relationship management, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems, D365, and advanced Excel functionality to support reporting and analysis.
Present sourcing updates, project status, and KPI performance to leadership.
