Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Buyer with a focus on strategic procurement and supplier relationships across two sites in the United States. The role supports the Director of Strategic Sourcing in integrating legacy processes, driving standardization, and adopting a forecast-driven purchasing approach.

The successful candidate will leverage data analyses, ERP/MRP knowledge, and lean manufacturing experience to optimize costs, manage supplier performance, and ensure compliant, ethical purchasing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent
• 3-5 years Purchasing and 1-2 years contracting experience
• ERP software experience with in-depth MRP knowledge preferred
• Experience with total cost analysis concepts
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights
• Knowledge of safety stock methods to meet service levels
• Experience in Lean Material Flow manufacturing environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement and supplier relationships across two sites
• Support Director of Strategic Sourcing in integrating legacy processes into Aspen Surgical systems
• Drive standardization and cross-functional coordination for supplier selection and contract negotiations
• Perform data analyses to identify cost savings opportunities and leverage scale
• Execute purchase orders aligned with forecasted demand and planning parameters
• Maintain master data including lead times, MOQs, pricing, and supplier details
• Transition manual purchasing to standardized, system-driven workflows
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and contract alignment
• Develop inventory turns to meet organizational goals
• Support contracting with regional direct and indirect suppliers
• Manage Approved Supplier List and supplier performance tracking
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety regulations and business ethics
