Job summary

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, Ohio Pharmacy Services, seeks a Sourcing Analyst to support purchasing by sourcing suppliers, evaluating proposals, and administering contracts in Columbus. This on-site, full-time role requires attention to detail and an ability to coordinate with internal customers and legal counsel.

You will review bids, develop specifications, create supplier evaluations, and track contract status while ensuring compliance with MBEs and EDGE programs.

Qualifications

• 18 months purchasing/procurement/sourcing experience or equivalent training within applicable programs.
• Completion of an associate core program in procurement or related field.
• 6 months' exp as Sourcing Associate (64511) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, receive, and open bids and proposals per established procedures.
• Coordinate delivery of supplier samples for evaluation.
• Interview vendors, check references, and conduct site visits to assess capabilities.
• Evaluate supplier submissions based on price, quality, service, reliability, and reputation.
• Prepare documentation for Release & Permit or Controlling Board review and respond to follow-ups.
• Track procurement status and complete required follow-up actions.
• Identify potential suppliers using catalogs, directories, trade journals, and online research.
• Review mandatory-use program compliance (MBE/EDGE, OPI, OOD, CRP, OPS).
• Customize terms and conditions for specific sourcing needs.
