Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – Aerospace
Location: Avon, MA or Wallingford, CT
Salary: $95,000 – $115,000 per year + 10% bonus
Work mode: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Overview
A leading global Aerospace business is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst to drive value across regional and global platforms. The role blends category management, upstream collaboration with Science & Technology (R&D), and proactive resolution of raw material availability challenges. The position can be based in Avon, MA or Wallingford, CT.
Key Requirements
- Lead sourcing for defined raw material categories – set and own contracting strategy, negotiate pricing, ensure supply assurance, improve working capital, and deliver against cost-savings and single-source reduction targets.
- Act as a key interface between the Aerospace business and wider Category Managers whose portfolios impact Aerospace.
- Partner with R&D at the formulation stage to build resilience – progress dual-sourcing and design for flexibility.
- Proactively escalate and resolve supplier support issues affecting plant operations; facilitate supplier engagement to protect production.
- Continuously identify alternative suppliers and sources to strengthen continuity and competitiveness.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver value across regional and global Aerospace platforms through structured category management.
- Combine category ownership with upstream R&D collaboration to support new product development and reformulation strategies.
- Own and track pricing, supply, lead times, and inventory KPIs; report on progress versus targets.
- Support single-source risk mitigation plans and execute dual-source qualifications with R&D and Quality.
- Maintain robust supplier relationships, performance reviews, improvement plans, and contract compliance.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred; or comparable years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of Aerospace coatings procurement experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

- Data-driven decision-making with proficiency in cost analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO), and working capital levers.
- Bias for action – able to triage escalations, coordinate cross-functional responses, and communicate clearly at pace.
Work Model
Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite (Avon, MA or Wallingford, CT) and 2 days remote. Travel to suppliers and sites as required for supplier reviews and issue resolution.
