Job summary

Strativ Group in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead supplier relationships, drive sourcing strategies, and align with engineering and manufacturing teams on complex components and technologies for aerospace-grade platforms.

You will develop strategic plans, qualify suppliers, negotiate terms, and oversee ERP/MRP-related initiatives to strengthen supply chain resilience across solar panels, batteries, motors, and electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience.
• Experience sourcing for engineering/manufacturing programmes.
• Ability to evaluate technical specs and supplier capabilities.
• Experience with ERP/MRP implementations or optimisations.

We’re working with a high-growth technology company developing advanced high-altitude platforms designed to transform communications, imaging and remote sensing. Operating at the intersection of aerospace and next-generation technology, the business is building innovative systems with applications across telecommunications, infrastructure, climate research and defence.

We’re hiring a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop supplier relationships, identify emerging technologies and drive sourcing strategies across complex engineering and manufacturing programmes. This is a technically focused role working closely with Design, Engineering, Test and Manufacturing teams to secure the right components, technologies and supplier capabilities to support product development and production.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for systems, subsystems, components, materials, equipment and services
• Partner with Design, Engineering, Test and Manufacturing teams to understand technical requirements and future technology roadmaps
• Identify, evaluate and develop relationships with new suppliers and technology partners
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules and technical capabilities to ensure programme requirements are met
• Identify alternative suppliers and substitute components to strengthen supply chain resilience and reduce disruption
• Lead supplier qualification, onboarding and ongoing performance management

You Should Have:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supplier management or supply chain operations
• Experience working closely with engineering or technical teams to source complex components, systems or technologies
• Ability to assess technical specifications, supplier capabilities and performance trade-offs across products such as solar panels, batteries, motors, power systems and electronics
• Experience obtaining supplier quotations, evaluating vendor proposals and negotiating commercial terms
• Experience supporting the selection, implementation or optimisation of ERP/MRP systems, ideally within a manufacturing, aerospace or technology business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Bonus:

• Experience within aerospace, aviation, manufacturing or high-technology industries
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical and aerospace component sourcing
• Familiarity with supplier qualification and onboarding processes
• APICS/ASCM, ISM or other relevant supply chain certifications
