Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Katy, Texas, seeks a Buyer to connect field needs with procurement and ensure projects have necessary materials. You’ll work within the Solar USA team, negotiating with suppliers and coordinating with project stakeholders to optimize costs and timelines.

The role emphasizes strong negotiation, vendor management, and adherence to procurement practices. Prior experience in construction procurement is preferred, with employee-owned culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is an asset.
• 1 year of experience in supply chain or procurement is preferred.
• Familiarity with procurement laws, regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Purchases materials, assets and services in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Identifies and selects vendors meeting specification, price, quantity, quality and delivery criteria.
• Develops commodity knowledge with procurement experts and supplier resources.
• Creates and issues purchase documents and applies purchasing agreements.
• Maintains relationships with stakeholders and escalates risks affecting deliverables.
