Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking an Engineering Licensing & Software Asset Specialist to determine, document and manage software licensing models for CAE’s simulator systems.

You will liaise between engineering, procurement, vendors and internal licensing teams to ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and repeatability for offline activation in air-gapped environments. The role includes logging received licenses, generating software media, tracking Government Reproduction Rights on COTS documentation, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 4–8+ years of experience in software licensing, SAM, IT procurement, or system integration.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex licensing models.
• Experience supporting offline/air-gapped systems.
• Familiarity with export-controlled environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed licensing analysis and lifecycle management for CAE simulator software.
• Produce SKU Bills of Materials (BOMs) and entitlements for procurement.
• Translate simulator architectures into licensing requirements (OS/SQL/Hypervisor/Backup).
• Support offline activation workflows and air-gapped installations.
• Log licenses, maintain Software Media Library, and prepare status reports.
