Job summary

MatrixSpace is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager, Software Systems. You will own planning and execution across the software organization, coordinating platform development, AI/ML, DevSecOps, UI/UX, systems integration, and customer programs into a unified execution plan.

You’ll surface conflicts early, drive execution through influence, and partner with engineering, product, program, test, and operations to deliver against commitments while keeping architecture with the right owners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading complex software programs or cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Experience with AI/ML, DevSecOps, and systems integration.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile software development practices and planning tools.
• Ability to translate complex technical and business priorities into executable plans and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the integrated software execution plan across Software Systems, translating priorities into coordinated schedules, dependencies, releases, milestones, readiness criteria, and escalation paths.
• Consolidate product, customer, and program commitments into a common plan, resolving priority conflicts before they disrupt execution.
• Lead cross-functional execution across Core Software, AI/Data Science, DevSecOps, UI/UX, Mission Systems, Test Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, and Operations.
• Turn priorities into actionable work plans, backlogs, sprint plans, release plans, and measurable milestones while keeping architecture with engineering owners.
• Establish and run a cadence for planning and execution (backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, retrospectives, readiness reviews).
• Identify cross-team dependencies, resource constraints, risks, and unrealistic commitments; bring stakeholders together to agree on practical tradeoffs.
• Provide senior leaders with a clear view of execution, risks, and decisions, and continuously improve planning mechanisms.
