Job summary

ITW in the Boston area seeks a Software Development Director to steer our software development organization, defining strategy, architecture, and execution across multiple teams toward scalable, high-quality solutions.

You will partner with executive leadership to drive digital transformation, implement agile practices at scale, build leadership pipelines, and ensure delivery on time and within budget while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a senior leadership role (Director or above) in software development.
Strong technical background with modern software engineering practices.
Experience leading Agile transformations across large organizations.
Experience driving digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the overall software development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Lead and mentor Software Development Managers and senior technical leaders.
Oversee multiple software initiatives and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
