amika is seeking a curious, creative Social + Content Strategy Manager to shape how we show up across our social channels, turning brand moments into engaging content. You’ll own strategy, guide creative development, and collaborate with influencers and internal teams to amplify our haircare story.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on content ideation and mentorship, supporting a growing social and community program from Brooklyn-based offices with hybrid onsite expectations.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in social media or content with ownership of strategy for campaigns and launches.
• You’ve concepted work with proven community engagement.
• You know TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts well.
• You've worked with creators and know what makes partnerships succeed.
• Comfortable with data, able to read reports and make recommendations.
• You have taste and strong opinions about beauty and culture.
• You've mentored or supported junior teammates.
• Experience in beauty, haircare, or a passionate community is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Social Strategy (Primary Responsibility): partner with Director to build strategy for campaigns and launches.
• Define campaign objectives per platform and align on success metrics.
• Set content pillars and an always-on calendar.
• Ensure brand consistency across channels, markets, and moments.
• Creative & Content Development: write briefs, guide production, and review.
• Propose new formats and platform-specific approaches with a strong POV.
• Creators & Campaigns: manage creator work within campaigns and partnerships.
• Mentorship: coach juniors and guide team development across channels.
• Performance & Insight: analyze content performance and share actionable learnings across the business.
• Collaboration: partner with Community Coordinator and cross-functional teams to land social initiatives.
• Growth Opportunities: lead a campaign end-to-end and deepen creator network ownership.
