Hanwha Philly Shipyard is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing for ship production and related contracts. You will negotiate with vendors, issue RFQs, and prepare bid analyses to optimize cost and schedule.

You will use SAP to support procurement activities, coordinate with Production and Engineering, and monitor vendor performance to ensure on-time delivery within budget. This role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in shipbuilding and government contracting is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
• Familiar with Access and Power Point.
• Proficient in SAP.

Aufgaben

• Process Purchase Requisitions, Issue RFQs, develop bid analyses, conduct negotiations and issue Purchase Orders.
• Use SAP to support purchasing process.
• Develop negotiation strategies for procurement of material, equipment and services for ship production and yard operations.
• Monitor vendor performance to ensure on-time delivery and budget.
• Coordinate and manage General Stock Items (GSI) and domestic sourcing.
• Input Material Problem Reports (MPR) and seek resolution with Planning.
• Document project shipments and maintain schedule changes.
• Work with Production and Engineering to ensure requirements are met.
• Travel may be required.
• Support meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Perform market research, obtain quotes and develop estimates for new projects.
