Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Shipping & Transportation Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and optimize transportation, shipping, and fleet operations. You will work as the liaison between drivers, production, customer service, vendors, and freight carriers to deliver on-time schedules and cost-efficient freight management.

The role requires coordination of daily routes, quotes from carriers, and ensuring DOT compliance while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in logistics/transportation/dispatch or fleet coordination.
• Experience with freight carriers and ERP/TMS software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and routes for drivers and vehicles.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service to align shipping priorities with production schedules.
• Communicate delivery schedules, route changes, delays, and updates to drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Obtain and compare freight quotes; schedule LTL, FTL, parcel, and third-party shipments.
• Prepare shipping documentation and track shipments; monitor KPIs and fleet utilization.
