Job summary

Florida in Tallahassee is seeking an Economic Self-Sufficiency Specialist Supervisor to supervise ESS specialists, communicate, motivate, train and evaluate staff to improve customer service and achieve agency goals.

Applicants should have two years paraprofessional experience or an associate’s degree, and prefer bi-lingual abilities; travel is required; a skills assessment will be part of the process.

Qualifications

• Two years or more paraprofessional experience in a position with duties like determining eligibility, interviewing, counseling, recruiting, billing, or customer service.
• Associate’s degree accepted as substitute for the experience.
• 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college can substitute for the experience.
• Minimum two years of ESS processing experience as ESS Specialist I/II.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Economic Self-Sufficiency Specialists; communicate, motivate, train and evaluate staff.
• Plan and direct work; lead team to enhance customer service and agency goals.
• Maintain knowledge of policies for ACCESS programs and interview techniques.
