Job summary

Rocksol, a Lochner company, seeks a Strategic Senior Project Manager in Colorado. The ideal candidate will build and strengthen relationships with municipalities, CDOT, local governments, and regional partners while expanding Rocksol's transportation presence across Colorado.

You will lead and deliver transportation design projects as Engineer of Record, manage scope, budget, schedule and quality, and mentor a high-performing design team, collaborating with Construction Management, Inspection,

Qualifications

• Colorado PE license and Civil Engineering degree required.
• 6+ years in roadway/transportation design and PM experience.
• Strong relationships with CDOT and local agencies; proven leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Rocksol design practice across southern/western Colorado.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for CDOT and local projects.
• Build relationships with municipalities and regional partners to expand Colorado presence.
• Lead project pursuits and win transportation work through client relationships and technical excellence.
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff into a high-performing design team.
• Collaborate with Construction Management, Inspection, Materials Testing, and Geotechnical teams.

Your Impact

• Lead and grow RockSol design practice across Southern and/or Western Colorado, providing technical leadership and strategic direction.
• Serve as the Engineer of Record, leading the design and delivery of transportation projects for CDOT, municipalities, counties, and other public agencies.
• Build and strengthen relationships with the municipalities, CDOT, local governments, and regional partners while expanding RockSo/'s transportation presence throughout Colorado.
• Lead project pursuits, develop winning strategies, and secure new transportation work through strong client relationships and technical excellence.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, while ensuring successful project delivery.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff while building a high-performing design team.
• Collaborate with RockSol's Construction Management, Inspection, Materials Testing, and Geotechnical teams to deliver practical, construction-focused transportation solutions.

Requirements

Who You Are

• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of roadway/transportation design and project management experience in Hydraulics, Structures & Traffic, including serving as Engineer of Record.
• Extensive experience delivering transportation projects for CDOT and local public agencies.
• Established relationships and a strong professional reputation within Colorado's transportation industry.
• Foster & develop clients, win work, and grow a Transportation practice.
• Proficient in OpenRoads Designer; Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Collaborative leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring and developing engineering teams.
