BI Incorporated in Boulder, CO seeks a Senior Buyer to manage supplier relations, secure favorable terms, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and cost reduction while supporting manufacturing goals.

The position requires five years of supply chain and procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and ERP/MRP proficiency. On-site work with standard office environment is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 17
• Five years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or related area (manufacturing environment preferred).
• CPM/APICS certification preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal/external contacts at all levels.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Office; knowledge of supply chain systems.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manages supplier base to ensure accurate lead times for all parts.
• Proactively manages blanket purchase orders to meet demand.
• Negotiates pricing and terms, purchases materials and services.
• Monitors vendor compliance with terms of purchase orders.
• Prepares and evaluates bids; assists with supplier selection.
• Leverages supplier performance data for continuous improvement.
• Issue purchase orders reflecting negotiated terms and prices.
• Coordinate activities with departments and suppliers to meet scope and schedule.
• Develop supplier scorecards with quality and on-time delivery metrics.
