Job summary

Spectra Logic in Boulder, CO is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Buyer to own day-to-day procurement, manage supplier relationships and mitigate supply risks in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee POs, support production scheduling, and use ERP/MRP data and advanced Excel to drive cost reductions. The role requires 3+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ERP/MRP systems proficiency and data-driven decision making.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) for trends and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchase orders and balance inventory against production needs.
• Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality and delivery.
• Qualify vendors, manage lifecycle and corrective actions with Quality/Engineering teams.
• Identify supply risks and coordinate last-time buys or alternate sourcing.
• Leverage ERP data and Excel to reduce costs and optimize processes.
